If the pandemic has taught us anything it is how amazingly selfless some people are and how others – even those we thought of as caring compassionate human beings are willing to put their own beliefs and conveniences ahead of the health and welfare – even lives of others. The recent decision in Arkansas to ban almost all abortions is exactly that – a small but vocal percentage of the population being allowed in positions of power to assert their beliefs over the health and lives of others. Can it happen here? It already is. Courted by far right pro-birthers claiming to be pro-lifers, we have people being elected in our government today, at all levels who would gladly risk the health, lives and futures of women and children to forward their own beliefs. Why do I call them pro-birthers? Because that is what they want – births of children at any cost, regardless of consequence… what happens to these women and children after birth? They don’t care. And THAT is the problem. And there are Pro-Birthers Among Us. Everywhere – do not let them become the influential, vocal minority. Please.
